At LIFT OFF we get involved in all sorts of activities and produce a number of different resources. Below is a small selection of our multimedia so you can see what we get up to throughout the year.
LIFT OFF Lowdown
The Lowdown is LIFT OFF's very own newsletter which we produce twice a year to update our core pupils, partners and schools about what has been going on with the LIFT OFF programme and to give them information on issues central to college and university.
Right Brilliant Thing
Last year Scotland's Commissioner for Children and Young People (SCCYP) asked young people all over Scotland to let him know what positive things have been going on in their area and to nominate projects and so on as their 'Right Brilliant Thing'(RBT).
As a result our Core pupils organised an event for their RBT which was Lift Off to Success (L02S). The pupils worked hard to create pieces of work, which were showcased at the event. One of the star pieces of work was a video log (vlog) created by Darren Hamilton from Lochgelly High School (below). A representative of SCCYP was invited to come along to a short presentation and to talk to the pupils about why they had chosen L02S as their RBT.
Beyond The Lab: Careers in Science
Some people think that science is too hard or it's not for them, but science is involved in more jobs than you would necessarily think. This DVD shows the wide range of careers that science is vital to and helps people to see that studying science can open up many opportunities in the future.

Cambridge Trip
In September 2010, two members of the LIFT OFF team supervised a group of S5/S6 pupils from schools all over Scoland, down to Cambridge University. The pupils got to meet current students and stay in halls of residence at Selwyn College who also catered for all our meals. The trip was a great success and it really got the pupils thinking about the options that they have for Higher Education, not just in Scotland but elsewhere.
LIFT OFF To Success
At our summer residential graduation event a selection of different people were asked to tell us what they thought the benefits of L02S are, and they were kind enough to let us get it on camera. Here's what they had to say.
