Why Become a LIFT OFF Student Volunteer?

Volunteering with LIFT OFF is rewarding and fun. It gives you the chance to meet new people, develop skills and interests and give something back to the community.

LIFT OFF student volunteers are essential members of our team! School pupils really engage with students, who are able to make the world of college or university come to life for them. Not only are students positive role models, but their input also allows us to increase the numbers of sessions we run and the scope of the overall project.

Don't take our word for it though!  One of our fantastic current Student Volunteers, Gemma Cargill, has written a piece about her LIFT OFF experience.  Gemma orginially met the LIFT OFF Team as a pupil from Kirkland High School who took part in LIFT OFF 2 Success way back in 2006 and after going to Abertay University to study Psychology, became a LIFT OFF Student Volunteer in 2011.
