Who are we? What do we do?

If you’re looking to find out more about us, this is a great place to start. We also encourage you to have a look around the website, the blog, and explore all the exciting things we get up to!

About Us

LO2S Graduation We work with schools around Fife and Tayside to promote access to College and University. Our hope is to raise aspiration and confidence in the young people we work with, support them in their learning choices and encourage them to think positively about their future.

We don’t think that everybody has to go into Higher Education, but we do think that everyone deserves an equal opportunity. Working with our partner schools, colleges & universities, local authorities and Careers Scotland, we try to make sure our pupils have the best possible support, advice and guidance.

We are funded by the Scottish Funding Council and are hosted by the University of Abertay.

What We Do

We work with all of the pupils in our schools from S3 – S6 to encourage them to think about their options, allay any worries and offer any support and information that we can. This can be in the form of school workshops or big events with the help of our partner colleges and universities.

In all that we do, we are supported by our fantastic student volunteers. These are current students who are trained and vetted to work with young people. They act as positive role models, sharing their experience and enthusiasm.

Lift Off To Success

More LO2SThis is our summer residential programme where pupils try out a wide range of colleges and universities, mix with pupils from other schools, meet real students and stay in a hall of residence. It's an amazing introduction to the opportunities available. Guidance teachers and parents afterwards always note a positive change after the experience be that in general confidence or attitude towards the future.

These pupils become the core of our programme, get individual advice in school and become part of the LIFT OFF community. This means we can research careers for them, seek advice from our partners on their behalf and answer any questions or worries.
