Volunteering with LIFT OFF is rewarding and fun. It gives you the chance to meet new people, develop skills and interests and give something back to the community.

Are you:

  • A current student in HE? (HNC, SCQF Level 7 or above)?
  • Fun, enthusiastic and friendly?
  • Interested in working with young people?
  • Ready to update your experience and CV?
  • Ready to step out of your comfort zone?

If the answer to these questions are YES then we’d love to have you join our team!

Volunteering with LIFT OFF is rewarding and fun. It gives you the chance to meet new people, develop skills and interests and give something back to the community.

  • Experience of working with secondary pupils across Tayside & Fife (Fife Council, Dundee City Council & Angus Council).
  • New skills including leadership, organisation and confidence.
  • Upskilling opportunities through on-going training.
  • Support from the LIFT OFF team as you continue your HE experience.
  • Meet new people
  • A good laugh!

We’ll ask you for some information on your experience, but don’t worry if you haven’t done much work like this before. Just let us know why you’d like to volunteer.

We’ll ask for two references. We prefer an academic and a character reference – but just provide us with any suitable contacts that you have.

You’ll then be invited to a training session. The training session is a great opportunity to meet other volunteers and learn a lot more about what your role is as student volunteer. We’ll provide you with all the practical advice you need to volunteer with us.

Once this is complete, you’ll be a fully-fledged student volunteer. Woo! You’ll then have access to our Volunteer Classroom where you will find more information on volunteering opportunities, training and social events.

Get in touch with one of our volunteers to ask any questions you have about volunteering with LIFT OFF.
