Volunteering Info
There are LOADS of opportunities to get involved at LIFT OFF. This page will be updated regularly with what’s going on that you can support.
Some of our engagements will be delivered multiple times in different schools. We use Doodle polls to allow you to sign up to this type of ‘repeat’ engagement.
Other events are ‘one off’, like our S4 campus visit. You can sin up to support these events using a simple form.
Please note you must be registered as a LIFT OFF volunteer before signing up to engagements!

Parent & Carer Info evening
- 15th November 2023 18:00-19:00
- This opportunity is open to past LIFT OFF Core Pupils. Share your experience of the LIFT OFF and your student journey with the parent and carers of our core pupils

Campus Event- Fife
- 22nd November 2023, all day
- Our S4 campus event allows our Core pupils to experience a Higher Education Campus for the first time with a visit to St Andrew's University. Support groups of pupils in activities and share your student journey.

- Our S4 campus event allows our Core pupils to experience a Higher Education Campus for the first time with a visit to University of Dundee. Support groups of pupils in activities and share your student journey.

Student Question Time- International Volunteer Day
- 5th December 2023
- A new panel discussion style event where we will discuss a variety of higher education themes. Core pupils will have the opportunity to ask you questions about your course, institution etc.

Ask a Student
- Ongoing
- Pupils send you questions about all things student! It might be about the course you study or just something general. You create a profile on our website and then wait for pupils to ask questions!

Volunteer Learning
Volunteer Guide
- An guide for volunteering at LIFT OFF, this interactive webpage aims to give you a selection of tools to use when you volunteer with us. If you have any questions, or would like more specific support please contact the volunteer coordinator.
Child Protection Learning
- An online resource designed to enhance a volunteers knowledge about child protection. Work through the content at your own pace before completing the short quiz to demonstrate your understanding. Volunteers who complete the quiz to a satisfactory standard will receive a digital certificate.
Supporting Core Pupils Learning
- An online resource designed raise awareness of the diversity of our Core Pupils, identify strategies and approaches to support the young people we work with & promote the principals' of inclusive practice. Volunteers who complete the quiz to a satisfactory standard will receive a digital certificate.

LIFT OFF Learning Skills - Student Panel
- 14th October 2022
- 11:30-13:00
- Share your H.E Experience and answer pupil questions about student life.

S6 Transitions Workshop
- Various dates 15th Feb - 5th April
- A presentation style engagement focused on preparing to start Higher Education course. You can either join us in school to support the session or send us a video to be included in the presentation.
